Don in the Community

Saturday, March 30 at 2 pm
Meridian Hall, 4306 Victoria Drive

Don was inspired and impressed by thousands of young people who came out to demand action on climate change. Our Earth and their futures depend on it. Time for action is now.

Don had the honour of presenting birthday certificates from the Queen and the Prime Minister to Vancouver Kingsway resident Mr. Lee at his 100th birthday celebration at the Cedar Cottage Neighbourhood House.

Don visited the Three Links Care Society for a tour led by Director of Care, Faria Ali and Community Liaison, Amber Webber.  Three Links has been providing high quality, affordable and professional residential care and independent housing to seniors and older adults with special needs in our community for more than 35 years.

Don participated in many events in Vancouver Kingsway and throughout Vancouver in celebration of Lunar New Year, including the annual Spring Festival Parade in Vancouver’s Chinatown, the Renfrew Collingood Seniors lunch, Victoria Drive BIA and Collingwood BIA Lion Dances, and handing out red pockets at Joyce Skytrain. Wishing you all good health, happiness and prosperity […]

Join Don for a coffee (on him!) and share your views on federal issues. When: Sunday, January 27, 1:00 pm – 2:30 pmWhere: The Tipper, 2066 Kingsway (Kingsway & Victoria)

Don and Jenny Kwan visited some of the hardworking CUPW members who distribute and deliver mail in Vancouver Kingsway and Vancouver East to say a special thank you in person.

You are warmly invited to our Holiday Open House! Friday, December 14, 5 pm to 7 pm

Davies, I believe, came to organize this gathering motivated by concern over the community’s future. He lives mere blocks away from where the hall is situated and, like me, is raising his family in Vancouver’s storied and highly diverse Fraser Street neighbourhood.
